Boomers Rock Golf Scramble

This month’s scramble will be held Sunday, August 21 at Granada Golf Course. The format will be a 4 person "Step - aside" scramble.

All Boomer Scrambles will now be 9-hole shotgun start, step aside scrambles except in October when we will have a year-end 18 hole scramble and dinner.

There will be a fee of $5 for prizes: 1st, 2nd, 3rd place. Participants pay the $5 when registering online, and each person is responsible for the cost of their golf. The shotgun start will begin at 3:30 P.M. All participants MUST check in at least 40 minutes before your tee time.

Players are asked to submit what their typical score is for 9 holes. If you would like to play with your spouse or partner, please indicate that on your registration. We will try and make teams competitive and enjoyable for all.

Play will be a step aside format; meaning you cannot use 2 consecutive shots by the same person. Once on the green, there is no step aside for putts. Maximum of two putts per hole.

The maximum drives that can be used by one person is 6 unless you are hitting from the orange tees, then the maximum drives is 3. Men will play from the silver tees and the women from the gold tees. Men 80 and over will tee off from the gold tees and ladies 80 and over will tee off from the orange tees. Men 90 and over will also tee off from the orange tees.

If there are only 3 players on a team, a "Bubba" will fill out the foursome. "Bubba" will hit the fourth shot for the team on each hole, the entire hole, and the player "Bubba" will rotate among the three players. Each of the team's three players will be the "Bubba" on three holes each. 7 drives max per golfer.

After playing the last hole, return to the clubhouse and give your scorecard to Mike Webster or Dave Banaszynski, and join your friends for beverages and food, while scores are tallied and prizes are awarded.
