Come join your Boomer friends for an evening of food, fun and the always entertaining game of Family Feud. We are surveying our Boomers Rock members for their thoughts on a wide range of questions. Those results will be tallied and used for our game. Please take the survey. The results are necessary for putting together the game.

Please indicate on your registration if you want to be on a team and compete in the game. Not interested in playing, we would love for you to come, enjoy dinner and cheer for your favorite teams. Teams will be assembled at random from those indicating a desire to participate. Because of the popularity of this event, we will be limiting the number of players. Register early if you want to be on a team. Once teams are full, you will be placed on a list as a substitute player.

We will be serving you an Italian Lasagna Dinner consisting of homemade lasagna, Caesar salad, and garlic bread with a delicious ice cream sundae for dessert.  All for only $10 per person!

Please bring the beverage of your choice to enjoy. There is limited seating so please register early. There will be no walk-ins as we will not sell tickets at the door.

We must limit the number of members attending and practice all Arkansas and POA Covid-19 guidelines. We will have plenty of hand sanitizer and wipes available.

    Guidelines for this event:

    1. Number of attendees allowed at the pavilion is 78.

    2. Members will sit two to a table.

    3. Tables will be set up to allow plenty of social distancing.

    4. You MUST wear a mask when checking in, standing in line for food, and when your team is up front playing the game. You may remove your mask while sitting at your table.

If you feel you can not comply with these guidelines, please do not register for this event. Our members safety is our first priority.

We are having so much fun playing golf together that this has become a monthly event. Please join us this month for an 18-holehole scramble at Granada. Because of Covid-19, we will be limiting the number of players and following all the health and safety guidelines of the state of Arkansas and the POA. It is great to get out and play golf with our fellow boomers.

Please check in with me and get the rules for this outing when you arrive. I will be outside the pro shop. Please arrive 30 minutes before your tee time. I will publish teams and tee times four days before the event. We will not be serving food or drinks. Prizes will be awarded to the top teams. Cost of prize fund is $5.

In order to make the teams as fair as possible, you will be asked at registration to provide your average score for 18 holes. We will not be using a GHIN handicap for this event since several players do not use or update the GHIN system. If you must play with your spouse/partner, please let us know. Please provide your POA number. You are responsible for the cost of your golf.

Please register early. This event is for Boomers Rock members only. All guests MUST also be members.

    A Blue Hunter's Moon: What a Night!

Normally, we would be announcing Spoooktacular VI. But this is not normal times. We cannot put 200 members in the Coronado Center with a live band, outstanding costumes and lots of dancing. We need to do something outside with a smaller crowd and lots of social distancing.

This year we will be having a Howl-o-ween Bash. We will be outside on and around the Coronado Patio and will be limiting it to only 60 members. It is going to be an awesome night to be outdoors with a rare blue moon and a hunter's moon. We will be howling when we see the moon. Costumes are optional but Face Masks are not!

We will have food catered in by Home Plate who will serve you your delicious fare. There will be an outside bar to get your favorite libations. We will have some awesome desserts to finish your meal.

We will be setting up our PA sound system and playing your favorite dance tunes from our Boomers Rock playlists. You will be able to request your favorite song by texting your choice to the DJs. We will have different areas set up for dancing to enable more social distancing.

We will not be having a costume contest this year. We will have several door prizes to give out during the evening.

    Guidelines for this event:

    1. Number of attendees allowed on the patio is 60.

    2. Tables will be spaced 6 feet apart.

    3. You MUST wear a mask when checking in, standing in line for food or anytime you can not maintain 6 feet distancing. You may remove your mask while sitting at your table.

We will be following all Arkansas and POA Covid-19 guidelines. If you feel you can not comply with these guidelines, please do not register for this event. Our members safety is our first priority.

The cost for this howling experience is $16 per person.

This event is for members only. All guests MUST also be members.

For The Hunter's Moon on Halloween Night !

The full moon will be at 10:51.

All participants will be required to have lighting on their boats as per U.S. Coast Guard and your state's waterways regulatory agency .

The minimum requirement for kayaks and canoes (whether paddling or adrift) conforms with U.S. Coast Guard Rules for a "vessel under oars" requiring "an electric torch or lighted lantern showing a white light which shall be exhibited in sufficient time to prevent collision."

On waters restricted to kayaks and canoes, at a minimum we'd recommend a hand-held, waterproof, 360° flashlight, tethered so it is readily available to turn on and display in any direction. Having this light available to display as needed is the minimum required and should be sufficient on most waters restricted for use by other paddlers.

This could be a light on a stick which can be seen from the front of the boat and the back of the boat Or a light on the front and a light on the back of the boat.

Don't forget your costume!! (Common sense...no heavy costumes that will drown you if you capsize.)

This activity will depend on the weather!!
