Village Clean-up Day

We decided it was prudent to cancel the event scheduled for Monday the 22nd due to rain.  We did not want members walking along busy roads when the grass is wet and slippery.

It's that time again to show our support for the Village "Keep HSV Beautiful" committee by picking up the litter on two well traveled HSV roads. Our continued participation helps maintain our good relationship with the POA and presents a positive image to the community.

Going forward we now have responsibility for Desoto Blvd from the West Gate to Carmona Drive.  We will also have West Villena which we have had for years.  We no longer will clean the section on Ponce that we have done for the past couple of years.

We will all meet up in the parking lot in the front of the Desoto Club parking lot at 10 am.  Volunteers will be assigned approximately a 3/4 mile section of road to clean up.    

We hope to have sufficient volunteers so that people can work in pairs.

We will provide trash bags, high-visibility vests, and bottled water. You should plan to wear work gloves and sturdy shoes/boots.  If you have a stick with a "grabber" on the end or any other tool to use to pick up trash & cigarette butts, please bring it.  Don't forget the bug spray!

The event should take about an hour.
